We had an outing today (that could more technically be called an inning.) We had a little picnic in our yard. Nothing fancy at all, we were just together. It was so much fun. Elle enjoyed her peas and was gracious enough to share (see Zach's shirt.) It was so much fun to just spend some time together enjoying the wonderful weather and most importantly...enjoying each other.

We even got some shots of bath time!

Today has been just one of those reminders to enjoy the little things in life. I think during this week it has been easy for me to get caught up with the silly stressful things that life throws you (i.e. Elle being sick, lack of sleep, stress from work and school-independent study courses, etc.) and it was nice to have a wonderful reminder. As I thought about the day as I was putting Elle to sleep, I was able to be grateful for those added stresses. I am truly grateful that Elle was sick this week, weird I know, but I got to spend a lot of extra time with her during the night, she was extra cuddly and she got to go on a late night trip to the grocery store because she would not go to sleep. I also thought a lot about my little family. I was thinking about myself when I was younger and the thoughts I had of my future family. It's so fun to think that although my visions were good, there aren't as good as what I've got. I am so grateful for my family. Zach is such a wonderful husband and father and Elle is such a good daughter and friend. I don't know why I am sharing this with everyone, but as I write I just feel so grateful that I can't help it. I feel so grateful for all of my family and the love that we share! So to you family that are reading...I love you!
